Join your First Settlers friends and fellow Porsche enthusiasts for a weekend of driving twisty mountain roads, enjoying the views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and sharing two planned meals together. The event will take place during the weekend of June 12-14.
Our HQ hotel will be the Holiday Inn Express in Waynesboro Va. located at 108 Chicurel Lane. Arrangements have been made for 20 rooms at reduced rates for our group if reservations are made by May 12. The hotel can be contacted by calling 540-221-4258. When calling to make reservations, give them your arrival date and Group Code SKA. Our group is First Settlers Region PCA. Our rates will be $139 plus tax per night for two Queen beds or one King bed. These rates represent an approximate $60 per night savings over the standard rates. Everyone is responsible for making their own hotel reservations and payments.
Participants can begin arriving at the hotel on Friday evening, June 12, between 6:00 and 9:00 PM for check-in and registration. We will gather at 9:00 AM Saturday morning June 13 for a group meeting and safety briefing. The first of three planned driving groups should depart around 9:30 AM.
Our stop for lunch on Saturday will be in Monterey, Va at the Highs Restaurant located at 73 W Main St (US Rt 250). Everyone will order and pay for their own lunch meals. Saturday’s drive will conclude back at the Holiday Inn Express in Waynesboro.
A dinner has been planned for Saturday evening at the Fishin’ Pig Restaurant at 117 Apple Tree Ln in Waynesboro where a separate area has been reserved for us. Each diner will order from the menu and pay their own tab.
Sunday will again start with a group meeting and safety briefing at 9:00 AM and a drive beginning around 9:30 AM. A catered lunch featuring chicken from the famous Mac’s Country Store will be held after the drive at the home of PCA member Tom Godfrey near Wintergreen. Registration for this meal is $20 per person. Tom’s address is 1276 Monocan Dr., Nellysford Va 22958.
Both days’ drives will be available on Ride with GPS and, prior to the weekend, written directions that can be downloaded and printed will be emailed to all who register.

Saturday:
Number of cars joining our group for the drive at $25 per car.
Number of people joining our group for dinner. Head count to advise the restaurant.
Sunday:
Number of cars joining our group for the drive at $20 per car.
Number of people joining our group for lunch at Tom Godfrey’s home at $20 per person.
Registration Deadlines:
Hotel: The first 20 people who call the Holiday Inn Express at 540-221-4258 prior to May 12 and give them our Group Code “FSR” will receive our reduced rate. The remainder of the rooms will be available at the standard rate.
Event Registration: Please register prior to June 7 so that we can give timely attendance information to the Restaurants for Saturday and the caterer for the Sunday lunch.

NOTE: All registrations will initially show as “Waitlist Confirmed.” Priority will be given to members registering for both drives and the lunch at Tom Godfrey’s home; their registration status will be revised to show as “New” until we meet the event maximum car count.
Event requirements
We will be using Speedwaiver to complete the PCA Insurance Waiver process. You'll receive the link on the confirmation page and in the confirmation email, so be looking out for that and please complete it right after you register. The same goes for your adult passenger(s), 18 and older. Waivers for minors must be signed, hard copy, on site.
All attendees must sign, so if you have guests on your registration, PLEASE FORWARD THE LINK TO THEM so that they can sign as well. The PCA Event Waiver must be signed in advance through the SpeedWaiver system.
